Tamara is a Fine Artist and Graphic Designer with a lifelong obsession with stories that live at the edge of the forest. Inspired by dark fairy tales, folklore passed down in whispers, and the quiet magic found only in shadows. Originally from Toronto, she moved to Montreal in 2013, drawn to its cobblestone streets and old-world European charm. In 2018, she traded city blocks for the mossy forests and magical allure of Vancouver Island.
What began as a way to sit with solitude became something closer to a calling: small, strange beings built from clay, wood, magic and mystery.
Tamara's world is full of pumpkin-headed children, hollow-eyed creatures, and quiet folk-horror creatures, all drawn from a deep love of dark fairy tales, witchy folklore, and the eerie beauty found in the shadows. She works primarily with polymer clay, building each piece slowly, methodically by hand, the way an old story is told.
